I hope everyone is doing well in this crazy time. Jacque and I wanted to give you an update on the upcoming MTB season, or rather lack of a MTB season. Unfortunately, after putting off making a decision for as long as possible hoping for a drastic recovery, we have decided to officially cancel the MTB season this fall. If you don't know or understand why, I assume you have been living under a rock. If you want more understanding why please feel free to reach out to Jacque or myself.
That being said, we will still be working towards holding our road season in the spring as normal and the deadline for submitting bids to host a road race will be Friday October 23. We understand that teams might not know what the situation will be like in the spring, but plan and submit bids as if all will be well and we will adjust accordingly as we get closer to the season.
Lastly, in an effort to keep some competitive and fun engagement across collegiate cycling nationally, all the conference directors along with USAC are looking at fun and interesting challenges that can take place remotely. As those get ironed out we will share them with everyone and if you have any idea either just for our conference or to go to all of collegiate cycling feel free to share and we will figure out how to support it.
