South Central Ride Notes is an independent editorial project about the practical side of cycling: finding a group, organising a season and understanding event information.
A new project on an older domain
This domain previously carried information associated with the South Central Collegiate Cycling Conference. The present site is a new project. It is not operated by that conference, USA Cycling, a university or an event promoter.
Some familiar page addresses remain, but their content has been replaced with newly written explanatory guides. They are not copies of the former site’s articles, historical results or official notices. Older links to this domain should not be taken as an endorsement of this project.
What you will find here
The guides concentrate on practical questions and reusable methods. They do not announce races, take registrations, issue licences or certify standings. Clearly labelled examples are illustrative rather than records of real competitors.
We do not present old schedules as current events, attribute new writing to former contributors or reproduce the former site’s photographs and logos. Publication dates refer to the new material.
Use primary sources for decisions
Where a question depends on current rules or event arrangements, check the relevant organiser or governing body. The USA Cycling collegiate overview and its South Central conference page are useful starting points for those programmes. External sources may change after a guide is published.
Scope and limitations
Our content is general information, not personalised coaching, medical advice or a replacement for a qualified mechanic. We do not guarantee that a particular event, club or linked resource will remain available. When a detail affects your registration, travel or equipment, verify it before acting.
